Penn State Maps . Travel |
Link to Penn State's campus maps for the University Park campus. BY AIR The University Park Airport (code SCE) is within ten miles of Penn State campus. Three major airlines fly to State College with connection flights to/from major hubs in Philadelphia, Detroit and Washington/Dulles: Delta /
Northwest via Detroit (800-225-2525)
United via
Washington, DC (800-241-6522 )
US Airways
via Philadelphia (800-428-4322 )
The Nittany Lion Inn provides free transportation to and from the airport for hotel guests. BY TRAIN The nearest Amtrak train stations are 20 miles away in the small towns of Tyrone (TYR) or Lewistown (LEW). There is no public transportation scheduled between these stations and Penn State campus. (In other words, even if the train ticket is cheap the taxi from the station won't be.) BY BUS The best bus option is Megabus http://us.megabus.com/default.aspx a popular, inexpensive ride to State College, which does not stop at every shopping center along the way like the Trailways and Greyhound buses do. The drop-off is at a Wal-Mart, only 3 miles from campus. Trailways (800-942-8287) and Greyhound (800-229-9424) bus lines each have a terminal in State College, close to campus. BY TAXI Taxi services include Taxi by Handy Delivery (814-353-6001), Nittany Taxi (814-867-4646), and Centre County Taxi for Less (814-238-7900). |
